Oldtimer -Experience
Oldtimer Experience is located in beautiful Haspengouw. Here you can enjoy the beautiful nature all year round, whether in spring during the blossom season or in summer or winter in one of the nice summer or winter bars nearby; autumn also provides a beautiful palette of colors here.
We offer the option to rent our classic cars for a day trip, as well as for a wedding. For wedding photos, we can collaborate with our partners to decorate the cars with flowers.
Volvo Amazon
The Volvo Amazon was designed by Jan Wilsgaard and presented to the public on September 1, 1956, but deliveries did not begin until March 1957. It was intended as the successor to the popular Volvo PV444.
Passive safety was (and still is) a top priority at Volvo, and the Amazon, along with the PV544, was one of the first cars to come standard with 3-point seat belts and a padded dashboard. The car is known as very reliable and strong.
Of the 297,000 units sold in Sweden, 35,000 are still registered, and it is suspected that around 15,000 of them are still in daily use.
Production ended in 1970, when the model was replaced by the Volvo 140 series, which had been introduced several years earlier. From 1961, mechanical parts of the Amazon, such as the engine, gearbox, and axles, as well as the modified floorpan, were used for Volvo's sports model, the Volvo P1800.
